What is Honors Reading?
Honors Reading is a program developed by the high school Language Arts Department to encourage students to read outside of their English class.  Students who successfully read and report on 20 books from the Honors Reading List by the end of their senior year, will receive one elective class credit.

Five Book Goal
Honors Reading students are encouraged to set a five book goal for each year.  Those who successfully meet this goal by Wednesday May 13, 2009, will receive a recognition pin during the Spring Awards Program.

Student Progress
The following students are currently enrolled in Honors Reading, and the number following their name indicates the number of books they have completed this school year.  Those whose names appear in red print have met their 5 book goal.  Those whose names appear in yellow print is a warning that more is needed to complete a report. Accelerated Readers have already read the 20 books necessary to complete the program, but are still participating.  Their names will appear in green print, and the number following will indicate the total number of honors books they have completed. If the number following their name is also in green print, this indicates that they have read the required number of books to retain their Accelerated status.
